TALKS ON TAP - 20/7/2026 - St Helens

St Helens

Event Details

Lifeline Tasmania presents Talks On Tap with Hospitality Tasmania at Panorama Hotel St Helens.

Lifeline Tasmania, in partnership with Hospitality Tasmania, invites you to Talks On Tap at Panorama Hotel St Helens.

Join us for an evening of pizza, conversation and insight as we unpack one of the most talked about, and often misunderstood, ideas in mental health and wellbeing: resilience.

What does resilience really mean? Is it always about “bouncing back”, or can that expectation sometimes leave us feeling exhausted, overwhelmed or disconnected from ourselves?

Together, we’ll explore questions like:

• Can we still call it resilience if it comes at the cost of our health, relationships or joy?
• Are some people naturally more resilient than others?
• Is resilience really about having a “water off a duck’s back” attitude?
• At what point does being labelled “resilient” stop feeling like a compliment and start feeling like pressure?

Featuring guest speaker Peter Baldwin, one of Lifeline Tasmania’s experienced and highly regarded trainers, this relaxed and engaging session will challenge common myths around resilience and offer a more realistic, human perspective on coping with life’s challenges.

Second guest speaker to be announced!

$30 per person includes pizza and the talk.

Monday 20 July
6:00pm to 7:30pm
