Launceston
This practical workshop is designed for supervisors, forepersons, and leaders in the construction and allied trades who want to build confident teams, manage challenges better, give effective feedback and support the mental health of their workers.
On-site leaders are often the first to notice when something isn’t right. This training gives you the tools to step in early, have the right conversations, and create a workplace where people feel supported, respected, and safe.
You’ll learn how to:
Give clear instructions and constructive feedback
Mentor and support apprentices and team members
Recognise early signs of stress, burnout, and mental health concerns
Handle tough conversations with confidence
Manage pressure from deadlines, clients, and competing demands
Reduce bullying, conflict, and psychosocial risks on site
By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with practical, real-world strategies you can use, helping you lead with confidence, improve team morale, and reduce preventable stress on the job.
This course also provides a pathway into further training, including Accidental Counsellor and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA).
Be part of the change. Build a safer, stronger construction industry.
Funding: 80% rebated by Keystone for businesses under 20 employees otherwise it’s $285.00 per person for all other businesses.
